I am so glad to see someone who likes Conan and Classical music (or music in general) as much as I do.

One more thing about Conan, though he makes fun of the political landscape of US a lot. But it's always done in good taste and right perspective, as he studied American History and Literature back in Havard, and was the only person in 100 years to hold the chairman of the Comedy Club twice in a row, AND graduate with a cum laude.

Conan is funny because he knows more than anyone else, and think at least 2 steps in front of everyone.

Your observation about his auditory ability is very acute though.

最近看了一本書“A Mind of its Own: How Your Brain Distorts and Deceives” by Cordelia Fine。

[...] ‘Those who make a living by making sound don’t have time (and don’t bother) to listen - this has always been the case. As we all know, (classical music) performers don’t listen to music, composers don’t listen to music, and conservatory students have the deafest ears in the world. That’s why jazz players are often found praising their colleagues: great ears on that guy, he keeps listening to other band members’ sounds and chords even when he’s doing his own solo.’ - Dajuin Yao, blog post.
